Thanks, Ellen, for the opportunity. Your idea of bearing witness "bears" acknowledgment. I'm not sure if recycling will eventually reduce global warming, however - as my grandmother used to say (at least in my memory) "It couldn't hurt". You have to say this with a New York Jewish accent to get the true feeling.
